Step 1- Read the Memorandum of Understanding between Manor and Lancaster County to learn how the process works and eligibility requirements. NOTE: the maximum annual income chart on page 2 has been updated and is shown on the last page.

Step 2- Print and complete the grant application below or contact our office for a hard copy. Call our office with any questions.

Step 3- Bring the completed application to the Manor Township office. Do not go to LASA or the Redevelopment Authority.

Yard Waste Program

Manor Township and the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority have partnered to help Manor Township residents manage their yard waste. Manor Township residents can take their yard waste to the landfill on River Road free of charge under the following conditions:

  • Residents must pick up a pass from the  Manor Township office.
  • The programs is for residents waste only. Regular charges will be applied to commercial loads.
  • Residential yard waste only. Any other commingled waste will be subject to normal charges.
  • All loads must be properly secured and tarped.

Once you have your pass, the process has been made simple. Present your pass at the scale house. Follow the marked route to the left and into the yard waste drop off area. Leave the material.

cardboard collection

The Township has established a drop off collection for Residential Corrugated Cardboard at Manor Twp Community Park (Charlestown Park) on Charlestown Road. The site is for residential cardboard only. Businesses are encouraged to either use haulers or take their cardboard directly to recycling vendors. Our program is not able to handle the volume of cardboard generated by commercial users. For help in finding vendors or making arrangements for your commercial cardboard, feel free to contact our office at 717-397-4769.

When dropping off cardboard only, please follow these guidelines:

  • Corrugated cardboard only, no cereal or shirt boxes or boxes of that type please.
  • Boxes should be free of food or other contaminants. Please no pizza or ice cream boxes.
  • Please flatten the boxes so there is more room in the containers.

Park Pavilion Rentals

Resident's can rent pavilion's at any of the following Manor Township parks- Greider, Charlestown (three different pavilion's- Hovis, Shenk or Strickler), Washington Boro or Woods Edge. Pavilion's are rented on a first come, first serve basis and reservations are accepted beginning the first business day of the New Year at a cost of $40. Greider and Charlestown's Hovis pavilion's are reserved during weekday's over the summer the Township Summer Playground in the Park Program and are not rented; however, they can still be rented on the weekends.
